NASA scientists discover a connection between the boy and a downed spacecraft and try to exploit the boy, who ultimately escapes with the ship and attempts to reunite with his family. The movie grossed only $17 million when it was released but was later rediscovered on VHS, becoming a cult hit.”(via:thr) ‘Flight of the Navigator’ was a film that many of us have an affinity for because of we watched it as children and it had this precious creative magic to it that no remake can ever replicate. That said, if Disney wants to remake this film, I’m actually interested to see how a modern update of ‘Navigator’ would turn out. There are far worse things for Disney to remake.
