My Favorite Films of 2010 | A Year In Films
Inception - This is an obvious pick, and I know that, but as an original IP, ‘Inception’ was fantastic. I loved that even after watching the trailer for ‘Inception’ I had no idea what it was about until I actually watched the film. The film does have it’s flaws, but as moviegoing experiences go in 2010, it doesn’t get much better than Christopher Nolan’s...

10 Films In 2010 That Were OK, But Should Have...
These are films that I wanted to like. Films that I liked the majority of, but for one reason or another I just couldn’t get behind, and they are also films that show creative merit and are not bad, but could have been far better films than they ended up being. The Kids Are All Right - 2/3s of this film is great, but the third act kills the entire film. On top of the unnecessary plot detail...

My Top Worst Films of 2010 | A Year In Review of...
Before I get to my Top Films of 2010, I want to get the bad films out of the way first, and I’ve watched a lot of bad films this year. I watch a lot of films, and the more films you watch, the likelihood you’ll increase your percentage of bad films watched. The beginning of this year was heavily loaded with some very bad films, but throughout the year there were some quality crap...

Game Dev Story Is On Sale Today for Only 99...
Game Dev Story is easily one of the best games ever created for iPhone & iPad. I’ve sunk more time into this game than some games I own on home consoles. The concept is you start a video game company and can hire & fire your staff, create new games, create consoles, level-up your workers, decide what type of games to create (RPGs, Action, Sports,etc..), even manage your the...

Initial Thoughts on 'Fable III'
The voice-acting is great! The tighter pulled in camera, not so great. Very nice looking environments from afar.  Up close, things look kind of rushed. Loving the hub world stuff when it comes to costumes, weapons, etc.. Could have used a little more polish. Could be more like Fable II. Really wishing it was more like Fable II. Well, at least the voice acting is very good.

My Top Video Games of 2010
The year in gaming 2010 follows some very similar trends to 2009. 2010 started out the beginning of the year with some incredible games like Bayonetta, Heavy Rain, God of War, Darksiders Bad Company 2 and Mass Effect 2, and closed the year with some great games like Assassin’s Creed 2, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, Halo: Reach, etc… 2010 also was another big year for sequels from...

Superman | Earth One or "Superman for the...
Written by J. Michael Straczynski Art by Shane Davis   It might be a little harsh to say that DC’s new standalone ‘Superman: Earth One’ graphic novel is for the “Twilight” kids, but c’mon, look at the cover art. This graphic novels also features an updated very moody,  and brooding version of Clark Kent (who also wears a jacket with a hoody underneath)...

New Comic Round Up | 12.17.10
Pick of the week | Thunderbolts #151 Written by Jeff Parker Art by Kev Walker  Even though I’ve dropped the other Avengers books for now, I’ll still hold strong in my statement that Thunderbolts is the best of the Avengers-related books. Issue #151 is no exception to that rule, especially with this fantastic standalone issue. This issue carries over some plot points from the...

Games I Cant Stop Playing | Need For Speed: Hot...
I’m not a big racing game person, I typically like action games, RPGs, shooters, just about anything else that’s not sports games or even racing games. But god damn, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit is awesome. It’s not a simulation racer but an arcade style one that moves fast but never too fast (ala Burnout Paradise - odd since Criterion made both of these games). Top-to-bottom...

burbanked asked: Okay, I just lost several minutes of my life looking up "Frankie and Alice" for which Halle Berry was Golden-Globe nominated, because I had the same reaction as you. I watched the trailer because it doesn't even release (limited) until 2.4.11. It looks like a massive, Oscar-baiting turd, even by Berry's standards.

Thoughts On The 68th Annual Golden Globe...
I guess I’ll have to see ‘The King’s Speech’ because of all the Oscar buzz surrounding it, even though the premise just doesn’t do it for me, much like Colin Firth. ‘The Kids Are All Right’ was not a comedy, nor was it a good film. The third act of that movie takes such an abrupt turn it was inexcusable.  ‘The Tourist’ was a comedy? No, no...

First look: 'Fast Five' | Bald, Angry Dudes All Up...
USA Today has the first look at ‘Fast Five’, another unneeded sequel to the ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise. However, I LOVE the title, ‘Fast Five’, why isn’t it spelled ‘Fast F5ve’ or even ‘Fast 5’. The title is so dumb and ridiculous all at the same time, it’ fantastic.  ‘Fast & Furious’ was not a good film,...
